GN 1 ( GÉANT ) Deliverable D 9 . 1 - Addendum 1
نویسنده
چکیده
This addendum specifies the implementation architecture for the Premium IP service described in Deliverable D 9.1, which aims at offering the equivalent of an end to end virtual leased line service at the IP layer across multiple domains. The architecture is targeted at the GÉANT network and is applicable to each connected NRENs and local Diffserv domains. The architectures leverages the scalability features of Differentiated Services and takes a pragmatic approach to balance configuration complexity and benefits. In this document we present the work done to date and planned future work of the GEANT TF-NGN working group studying the potential benefits (to end users and NREN operators) and feasibility of deploying a Less than Best Effort (LBE) service on GÉANT and NREN networks. We present a brief overview of the evolution of the case for LBE, through the IETF diffserv WG and the Internet2 QBone project, ...
متن کاملProject Title : SEQUIN Deliverable D 2 . 1 - Monitoring and
SEQUIN investigates methods for providing QoS differentiated services over the IP-based networks such as the GÉANT network. Initially, the project defined a framework for supporting IP Premium service and described the procedures for establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) amongst networks such as GÉANT and the NRENs. In succession, SEQUIN investigates methods for monitoring the network be...
متن کاملAddendum to "trees in random graphs"
The aim of this addendum is to explain more precisely the second part of the proof of Theorem 1 from our paper [1] . We need to show that a.e. graph G E lfi(n, p) contains a maximal induced tree of order less than (1+6)x (log n)/(log d) . The second moment method used in our Lemma shows in fact that Prob{0 .9 E(X,) < X, < 1 .1 E(X,)} = 1-o(1) . (1') Now let S, stand for the number of (1, r)-sta...

متن کاملHeavy-traffic limits for nearly deterministic queues: stationary distributions
We establish heavy-traffic limits for stationary waiting times and other performance measures in Gn/Gn/1 queues, where Gn indicates that an original point process is modified by cyclic thinning of order n; i.e., the thinned process contains every n point from the original point process. The classical example is the Erlang En/En/1 queue, where cyclic thinning of order n is applied to both the in...
